The Chatham Volunteer Fire Association is holding a New Years Eve celebration featuring the band BUCKSHOT at the Chatham VFW Hall from 9:00 pm to 1:00pm. Snacks, food, beer and soft drinks provided. BYOB- tickets are $30/person.

We have made our current Chatham Township Zoning Resolution available online for viewing. After MUCH deliberation, the final draft of The Chatham Township Comprehensive Plan For Development has been completed and is also available for viewing. The final phases of its adoption are as follows; The final draft of the Comprehensive Plan will be scheduled for a public hearing before the Zoning Commission. The Commission will then make a recommendation to the Township Trustees for approval and adoption (with amendments if necessary). A public hearing will be convened before the Township Trustees for final discussion and action on the Plan. Action will be taken on the Final Comprehensive Plan (with amendments by the Trustees if necessary) at the conclusion of the hearing. Watch for public hearing postings in the near future. Upcoming Community Center Events

We will be holding a meeting to discuss Oil & Gas mineral rights leasing and our local landowner group. While still many months away from any serious lease negotiations, we would like to give a general update on leasing activity in the state this past year, leasing concerns, and the landowner group concept. Attorney Dan Plumly from the Wooster legal firm of Critchfield, Critchfield & Johnston will offer his opinions and insight.
