Our annual Spring Cleanup "Dumpster Days" will be held June 1st & 2nd from 9am-5 each day.
You may bring your items for disposal to trash dumpters at our Township maintenance building located at
6539 Avon Lake Road. This is for our TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS only.
Please bag or bundle all trash & garbage. We will not NOT ACCEPT
large fiberglass boats, propane tanks, tires, paint, oil or antifreeze.

Chatham VFW
Memorial Day May 28th - 10:00am, join us for a specch by Eli Beachy, followed by our annual parade to the cemetery.
Upon completion of ceremonies, we will have a community potluck picnic in the pavilion.
Historical Society
Next meeting is May 21, 2012 at 7:30pm. We will be planning our upcoming Alumni Banquet on June 9th, and discussing
a possible abandoned Chatham cemetery.
Meetings are held at the Library-Museum next to the Community Center.
We are always looking for items for the museum. Whether a newspaper clipping or other items of
interest about Chatham, we would like to see it and make a copy of it. We are particularly interested
in items regarding the old octagon house and the Ripley house which was rumored to have been an
Underground Railroad stop. We're also seeking Chatham Elementary school class pictures and
they don't have to be old ones. Classes from 1980-1990 are of interest.

Zoning Resolution and Comprehensive Plan now available online We have made our current Chatham Township Zoning Resolution
available online for viewing.
After MUCH deliberation, the final draft of The Chatham Township
Comprehensive Plan For Development has been completed and is also
available for viewing. The final phases of its adoption are as follows;
The final draft of the Comprehensive Plan will be scheduled for a public
hearing before the Zoning Commission. The Commission will then make a
recommendation to the Township Trustees for approval and adoption
(with amendments if necessary). A public hearing will be convened before the
Township Trustees for final discussion and action on the Plan. Action will
be taken on the Final Comprehensive Plan (with amendments by the Trustees if necessary)
at the conclusion of the hearing. Watch for public hearing postings in the near future.
