About Chatham

Cemetery Levy

A .2 mill Cemetery Levy renewal with a .3 mill increase to constitute a total of .5 mills will be on the upcoming ballot. This 5 year levy would have an annual cost of approximately $3.90 per $10,000 of property value. It will be used for cemetery operational and maintenance costs. The .2 mills date back to the original 1987 levy, collecting a total of $5096 a year which unfortunately has not kept up with increased operating costs. For many years, cemetery expenses have exceeded revenue. All residents may view their own breakdown by searching the Tax Distribution for Chatham (Cloverleaf LSD) on the Medina County Auditor's site.
